Chrestensen Burghout Designs

The challenge has begun!

On January 2nd, we mailed out patterns for everyone who enrolled in Chrestensen Burghout Designs first challenge of 2008.

"A New Day" Abstract was designed by Sue Chrestensen in her typical style. Sue is participating in the challenge along with about 25 other scrollers.

Her version of "A New Day" Abstract will be completed in segmentation and we will be posting her progress here for the challengers to follow along. Any of the challengers who want to send us photos of their work in progress are encouraged to do so... and we will try and get them posted along with Sue's Progress.

The cutting is all done, and Sue has started to sand and shape some of the pieces. She still hasn't decided where she is going to shim, if any.

Sue has started to colour "A New Day" and at this point has only used her trademark leather dye techniques. Here is a close up of her layering in two areas of the project.
