Chrestensen Burghout Designs focuses on wood as the primary medium for our art. Whether creating patterns for crafts, or original works of art, we strive to elevate the limitless creative possibilities within wood.

No longer bound by conventional scroll sawing designs, we incorporate three basic styles of scroll sawing when developing our artwork.

By combining our artistic styles, interests, and life views, we have developed a very broad spectrum of themes.

Intarsia to Fretwork

The spring issue of Scroll Saw Woodworking and Crafts magazine featured an intarsia birdfeeder titled  "Spring Songbirds" designed by Bruce Worthington.

Appreciating the beauty of his design, we asked Bruce's permission to create a fretwork version of his original.  A special thank you to Bruce and Scroll Saw Woodworking and Crafts in helping us bring you this fretwork version of "Songbirds"
